Serving

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

Ministry Teams

Visitation Team

Our Visitation Team seeks to ensure that no one is overlooked or lonely, maintaining contact with those who are ill, recovering medically, or shut in. We also visit local nursing homes on a regular basis to brighten the residents' spirits.

Worship Team

A team of musicians dedicated to leading cvfree in worship through music with a Biblical foundation, understanding that it puts us on the spiritual frontlines and serves to prepare us for God’s Word.

Prayer Team

The Prayer Team is passionate about being on the spiritual frontlines: praying for revival, for our leaders, for our church, and for our community.

Guest Services/Cafe

We are focused on having our guests feel comfortable from the moment they enter the parking lot!  From greeting to giving a tour, offering a tasty treat and drink, to answering any questions, we are ready.

Property  Care

We recognize our church is God's House. Like our own homes, regular maintenance and the occasional project are part of what keeps the space looking updated and functional.

Outreach Opportunities : Don't Just Come to Church --
BE  THE  CHURCH!

cvfree in the city

Annually, we bring church to East Park in  downtown Norwich for a great time of contemporary worship, powerful prayer, and an impactful message followed by a FREE concert. Winona Avenue is our headliner band, and we always enjoy their interactive, upbeat approach to glorifying God. All are welcome to join!

Prom Closet

The Prom Closet was initiated by a high school senior to assist youth in Chenango County.  This ministry helps those in need to borrow prom dresses, suits, accessories, AND offers a Get Ready With Me Day!

cvfree has left the building

Each year, we take a Sunday morning to leave the church building and serve the elderly, ill, and single parents from our church family with basic landscaping and home repairs.  Depending upon the need, we also may serve local organizations who would benefit from this support.

Christmas Day Meals

We are honored to serve those who work throughout the year to serve and protect us.  We know they can't be home with their loved ones on Christmas, so we deliver meals to our local hospital and law enforcement .

Angel Tree

In  conjunction with Improve Norwich Now's Fostering Futures program, we team up to provide children in foster care with meaningful Christmas presents .

Impact Project

Helping Hands is a local organization who provides food and hygiene items to community members in need on a monthly basis. To support this, we collect donations of non-perishable food items and assist with monthly distribution.  For more information about HH, Click Here
We  value LIFE, and Aunt Mary's House is  a  powerful way to make an impact right here in Chenango County. From donating goods/services, to volunteering and advocating, there's something for everyone.   To learn more about ways to participate, Click Here
This subset of Improve Norwich Now supports local foster families through volunteer teams who provide a monthly interaction.  Those interactions range from homework help and childcare to meal and laundry support, as well as small home repairs. To join a team, Click Here
We agree God's children are NOT for sale, and we are committed to sharing this message! Through education and proactive steps, we will ensure our local youth and those who are vulnerable know signs of human trafficking and ways to respond if a situation is unsafe.  Through this FMC Ministry & Chenango County Board, we are committed to protecting those who may fall victim to this travesty.
It is so rewarding to help those who cannot otherwise help themselves. The Impact Project offers a meaningful opportunity to assist the elderly/disabled with home improvements like a new roof/handicapped accessible  ramp, and we are pleased to send team members to assist.  To learn more about this work, Click Here
